Virtual Tour using Google Maps

This is a really nice, simple activity requiring only the internet. Using Google Maps, zoom into a student's hometown, focusing on a special place like a former house or school. Then, the student guides the class, giving a virtual tour of his hometown. The only drawback is that if a student comes from a small area, a map might not be available. Luckily, most of my students are from Seoul :)

Another idea: I like to do the whole "plan a day for a friend in NYC using only $50" activity, and this is a way to spruce it up.
